Paradise and Pennant Candied Fruit

Sweet Yeast Rolls with Cream Cheese Candied Fruit

These soft and fluffy yeast rolls are filled with a rich cream cheese mixture and generously studded with vibrant candied fruit, adding a festive burst of color and chewy sweetness in every bite. As they bake, the sweet aroma of warm dough and fruit fills the air, making them perfect for holiday mornings or special occasions.

Ingredients: 

  • 7 to 8 cups sifted flour
  • 1-3/4 cups milk
  • ½ cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cups canola oil
  • ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp of active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp of vanilla

Cheese-Candied Fruit Filling: 

  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 5 oz. of cream cheese, softened or neufchatel cheese
  • ½ cups candied cherries, halved

Sugar Frosting: 

  • 1 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (add gradually for desired consistency)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla or almond extract

Directions: 

Test the water on the back of your wrist for the temperature.
