Cherry Cheesecake Cookies

Cream cheese brings the tang while cherries add the sweetness, and the dough is rolled in graham crackers before baking making it an inside-out cheesecake cookie. Perfect for any occasion or simply enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea, this recipe is a crowd pleaser.



  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2-ounces (1/4 cup) cream cheese
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon cherry extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup finely diced candied cherries
  • 1/4 cup small graham cracker pieces


  • 1/4 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar or colored sanding sugar


Notes: Cookie dough needs to chill before baking.
