Christmas in July Breakfast Scones

Breakfast scones baked perfectly to satisfy your cravings for ginger, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and several candied fruits together. It’s a taste of Christmas for family and friends enjoy anytime.

Ingredients:

  • large egg
  • 3/4 cup light sour cream
  • tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
  • 2 1/4cups all Purpose Flour
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • tablespoons brown sugar
  • tablespoons sugar
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup mixed Paradise candied peel

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.  Set aside.
