Paradise and Pennant Candied Fruit

Soda Bread With Candied Fruit

Soda bread is great when surrounded by other traditional, hearty Irish goodies, like at a St. Patrick’s Day bash. But by itself, the bread can be bland. What if it didn’t have to be? Candied cherries can add a sweet taste as well as create unexpected pops of color.



  • 350 grams all purpose flour (2 and 1/2 cups)
  • 1 and 1/2 tsps salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 285 ml buttermilk (9.6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped Paradise Candied Fruit



Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
