The base for this bread is Amish Friendship Bread Starter and gets its punch from candied, ground and fresh ginger. Fresh cranberries add a bit of tart and vanilla pudding mix brings in a little sweetness. The recipe makes two loaves so you can follow the Amish tradition of keeping one and sharing one. Or place one in the freezer for later.
Ingredients:
1 cup Amish Friendship Bread StarterDirections:
Preheat oven to 325 Grease two loaf pans.
Dust the greased pans with a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.
In a large mixing bowl, add ingredients as listed. Divide the batter evenly between prepared loaf pans.
Bake for one hour or until the bread loosens evenly from the sides of the pans and a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
